Today we headed up to NE and ended up way E of the inlet. It was a beautiful morning and after looking at the radar (lots of boats)I decided to get lost. We came across a wing of a fighter jet that crashed yesterday and gave the CG the lat/long and finally came across a change with hot fast water and grass. The Instigator was there and it wasn’t long before he caught a Blue. I hadn’t had a dolphin bite and decided to give it a little more time. Our Blue showed up on the teaser and ended up eating the right long tuna bait. It’s been eleven years since I boated a Blue and decide we would try this one. It was on 100b ande leader so I didn’t think we had much of a chance. It worked out and it was Colin’s first boated Blue (511 lbs)and also put him in first in the mates pool.We also caught several gaffers. When we picked up we were 54 miles east of the inlet.
